BallparkTerms of Use
Short version: Ballpark does arithmetic on numbers you type. The answers are estimates. Don't rely on them as professional advice, and don't expect us to be liable if you do.

The licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Ballpark on devices you own or control, for as long as the app store you bought it from says you do. You may not resell it, rent it out, reverse-engineer it, or pull it apart to build a competing product.
If you bought Ballpark from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies, and takes precedence wherever it conflicts with this page. If you bought it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply in the same way.
Purchases
Ballpark is free to use, with an optional one-time purchase that removes the three-document limit. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
The transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details. Refunds are theirs to grant, under their policies, not ours.
Ballpark is not advice
This is the part that matters most. Ballpark multiplies, divides and samples the numbers you give it. Its output is only ever as good as those numbers, and a range is a statement of uncertainty, not a promise.
Nothing Ballpark produces is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, engineering or other professional advice. It does not connect to any financial account, move money, or read market data. Decisions you make with it are yours.
No warranty
Ballpark is provided as-is. We have tested it carefully — the calculation engine has a substantial automated test suite, and the iOS and Android versions are checked against each other — but we do not warrant that it is free of defects, that it will suit any particular purpose, or that it will always be available.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Ballpark, including lost profits, lost savings, or costs incurred from decisions informed by its output. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as local law permits — and nothing here removes consumer rights you have by statute.
Your documents
Your documents are yours. They are stored on your device, we never receive them, and we claim no rights over them. Because they're stored only on your device, deleting the app deletes them — see the privacy policy for what is kept where.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the updated page will ship alongside the app version that changes them, and the date above will be updated.
